Top responsibility of the Directors of Small Company do

Directors should focus on growth rather than day to day operations of the business. They should basically develop a process, implement it under their supvervision, and when the process stabilizes, handover to a designated person with process and training manuals.

There should also be built-in mechanism to do make process improvements and subsequenly update process and training manuals. 

Director's Daily Schedule

  1. Take stock of what happened yesterday, last week, last month, last year - reporting
  2. Review current orders and assign tasks accordingly
  3. Review any urgent matters requiring attention. Goal is to eliminate urgent matters by developing appropriate processes and trainings. 
  4. Review HR activities - appointment, training, performance review
  5. Review growth activities
    1. Sales
    2. Marketing
    3. Product development
    4. New asset development
  6. Review finance and accounting
  7. Review Compliances
