Problem
When we make DXF file for profile / moulding, the shape of the profile changes when opened in machine.
We made this profile. The above profile is correct. But cutter head machine read it wrong.

Solution
The following three points will affect how the machine reads DXF
Whether we use Arcs and Lines or we can use Bezier Curves (Splines).
Whether the lines, curves or splines are Joined or Not Joined
When we export the DXF, whether it is Normal Export, Old Export or Compatible Export
Different machine softwares read the DXF file differently. The above three points can change for each machine.
Machine | Fit Arcs to Vectors (Yes / No) | Joined / Not Joined | Normal Export / Old Export / Compatible Export |
|---|---|---|---|
New Bridgecutter | No | Joined | Normal Export |
Cutter Machine | No | Joined | Normal Export |
Old Bridgecutter | Yes | Not Joined | Normal Export |
Always keep image of cross section of the profile / moulding inside the program folder.
Operator should match the dxf shape with photo before production.
